Fender Japan Stratocaster ST-62 TX Cherry Burst 1995
Fender Japan Stratocaster ST-62 TX Cherry Burst 1995
Up for sale, a 1995 Fender '62 vintage reissue Stratocaster in excellent condition and playing order. Designed to pay homage to the golden era Pre-CBS Strat, this early Fender Japan reissue is incredibly lively, with a slab rosewood fretboard and trio of Texas Special single coils. Crafted in the famed Fujigen factory in Japan, this early "Made in Japan'' Strat was made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market. This guitar goes from “chimey” to “quacky” to rich and “bassey” as you move up and down the pickup configurations. This axe plays great with low action and solid intonation.
The headstock sports a Pre-CBS small Strat shape, with correct logo and Kluson style Gotoh tuners which turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The vintage-style vibrato bridge is faithful to Fender's early 1960s design, sporting "Fender" branded saddles. The full size zinc tremolo block adds to the fullness of this Strat's tone, and actuates easily for quick surfy warbles and deeper dives.
Cosmetically, this guitar is extremely well kept overall, exhibiting modest yellowing of the pickup covers and knobs as well as some pitting and wear on the bridge saddles and base. The gloss sunburst finish is vibrant and warm.
Condition: Some very minor dings and chips, only visible when inspecting in detail up close.
Playability: Straight neck, some minor fret wear, action is comfortable, no issues with electronics.
